Palmer named president of state science academy

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Washington State University professor Guy Palmer recently was named president of the 186-member Washington State Academy of Sciences (WSAS).
Palmer is a WSU Regents professor and director of the Paul G. Allen School of Global Animal Health. He is a member of the National Academies Institute of Medicine.
WSAS provides expert scientific and engineering analysis to inform public policy making and works to increase the role and visibility of science in the state.
