PULLMAN - Cougar fans are being asked to help out and support WSU and the Ol’ Crimson flag when ESPN’s College GameDay arrives at Boise State University for the BSU vs. Oregon State game Sept. 25.

Ol’ Crimson Booster Club founder Tom Pounds continues to make sure the crimson and gray flags make their way across the country every weekend to appear in the background of the Saturday morning broadcast.

Anyone who would like to take and wave a flag at the Boise State game is asked to contact Pounds at 505-659-5768 or thomas.pounds@gmail.com.

Pounds said he’s hoping the close proximity to Cougar country will attract WSU fans, alumni and supporters to show up in full force.

“I definitely want any and all Cougs who are within a short drive of any College GameDay show to participate,” he said.

Pounds said his goal for the season is to see the flag on 100 shows in a row, which would happen on Saturday, Nov. 6, if no game is missed.

“After the 100th show in a row, we will just keep chugging along,”he said.

Pounds and his flag crew were recently honored for their work at the Montana State game in Pullman. You can watch a video of that honor here.
